Dont Give Them More Power Than They Deserve

dont give them more power than they deserve.. here's why i say that, and i point this to those of you still in the congregation, still trying to decide what you want to do.. recently, our family had a little family reunion gathering of sorts, and we were in the company of some extended family that were either df or da, to varying degrees.
we made it very clear, to any and all in attendance, that we wanted to be respectful and kind, despite any previous perceptions about our "status".... and that our feelings on a lot of things had "softened", and "changed" over the last 2 years.. i am being purposefully slightly vague, but i think you get the point.

Revelation - it's grand climax is at hand
by Listener insome people point out the subliminal pictures in the wtbts publications but sometimes things are just so obvious, such as the title of the book above.. the person who came up with the title for this book must have had a good old laugh.. interestingly, this book first came out in 1988 and has not been included in the online library but nothing has replaced it.
the org is really going backwards when they ditch old light and cannot come up with anything new.
they are real wankers ;)..

Yeah when we studied that book in 07-08 or so at the old style book studies in homes I thought to myself, boy what have I gotten myself into this is a credulous cult, culture club. I backed off on my hours and activity then and there.
Everyone one was just like wow neat good thing we have the governing body to explain it all to us.

Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?
by Wonderment ini wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.
could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?
perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

For me it's a form of entertainment...a hobby if you will!
Hahaha, well put was thinking about making this type of post recently as well as it's kind of fun and entertaining for sure. Gives us all fuel and a needed boost of self confidence to fight back HARD and not take it lying down anymore. Face it the org is rife with bullies and narcissists ! They can only bully us only if we let them, knowledge is power. -

heart troubles

my health took a beating over the years with stress from various sources, not a little from the wt; and dangerous areas of work involving fumes and so on.
the arc also took its toll and i have had recently a heart attack.

Take care Zeb one day at a time. You'll get through this, and I know what you are saying about the stress. I suffer from anxiety as well, hereditary as mental illness runs on my mothers side and both my brother and I feel the effects. The WTBS made it worst, I knew it but kept at it longer than I should have as it was often said from the platform : In these last days and months, so I kept at it till I wound up in the emergency ward in desperation.
Keep it simple and do things for YOU from now on. You are important and deserve to be well again.

Good subject, I come on here for research, therapy and to comes to terms with how my weaknesses were exploited to the benefit of the WTBS and others that have no conscience. So in effect to compare notes and maybe console others in any way I can through by my experiences and recent awakening. Mind you I was only in from '00 - '08 but it took at least an additional 5 years to begin deprogramming myself being I was exposed to 'the truth' from my early high school years. The higher moral ground does have benefits but what I didn't know was all the useless busy work and double standards that go along with it. Once in the pressure to perform and produce as a 'publisher' ratchets up exponentially. I'm still learning to forgive myself and move on. -

Why does the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses use the Bible?

they are not allowed to even set foot in the churches of the bible.
they endlessly rail against how wrong they are - but they are all based on their book??.

betrayal, anger, resentment, deep depression from the relationships lost.
emotions seemed to guide my viewpoint of others as well.

all the calendar pictures are about building wts property with cheap labor witnesses.. and then, just before the year approaches the building has halted.. it seems a short term decision.

As I've often said GB are just pimps in all sense of the word. Pimping God, Jesus, the Bible, your spirituality, your job, money, marriage mate etc. That is where I was going with this.
